• I am a giver and love sharing with others. I was an only child and I have learned over the years about sharing my belongings and myself with others. By nature, I'm a hermit and like to be alone, but the other part of me craves relationships/community and that is sharing. Being at one with others, like minded individuals has expanded me to share more and know that sharing isn't losing, but it's gaining because of the joy of sharing with others.

I have found that any type of giving truly matters. What may seem small to one is a huge deal to another. It's our perspective! What makes giving small? Why would it be small? Giving to others is a great gift to another. No matter the perspective I have great impact on others.

Acts of kindness, again is a perception. Think about helping someone that is elderly. It's considered an act of kindness, but the elderly person may think I'm strong and I don't need the assistance. However, the heart is exposed by the reaction. Would I be happy regardless of the reaction/response of the person I'm being kind to? Can you give without any attachment to the outcome including recognition?

That is where for me, it helps me to check in with myself. It shows my heart and my true kindness. Giving that freely and lovingly to others.
