Friday HTN4U Affirmation on Intentional Movement
HTN4U Affirmation
✍ by Bill Bowman ❤
- I'm always moving to remain flexible.
- Pain in movement does not mean I'm fragile.
- I'm improving my mental health with movement.

Movement is essential to living a wellness lifestyle. I used to hate moving before in my life and didn't want to move my body, except when I would ride my bike. When I rode my bike I would feel free and I didn't think about the exercise part of it. I just enjoyed the wind in my hair and the motion put my heart at ease. What activity do you do that doesn't feel like exercise to you, but it's more meditative, introspective?

In 1967, this legendary showman was injured during the filming of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and his doctor "warned him he'd be using a walker within seven years." But, "he performed a soft shoe right there and never looked back."
Dick Van Dyke, the 97-year-old WWII veteran, actor, and famous entertainer is currently working on his 81st film now in pre-production. He was asked about his secret to being so fit, active, and youthful in his "old age." He responded, "Always keep moving. Never stop moving."
I've added his book, Keep Moving, to my reading list.
