Thursday HTN4U Affirmation on Hydration
HTN4U Affirmation
✍ by Bill Bowman ❤
- Water is refreshing my mental performance.
- My mind is improving with each drink of water.
- I'm providing my brain with the amount of water it requires.
-
Water is truly where life is. I love water and do my best to drink a gallon a day. It helps with my mental clarity and overall energy. It's the life spring for me.
My mind needs lubrication and water is what it needs. I used to have headaches all the time and when I started drinking between 100-128 oz of water on a daily basis, my wellness increased, not as foggy, not as tired and I could think better and use critical thinking skills easier. I could recall information easier as well.
So what are you doing for your brain/mind today?
How much water are you going to take in today?
Will you start a new regimen by increasing your water intake to a minimum of 80 oz/day?

I go in spurts and then fall back to my caffeine drink and then back to lots of water. It's a cycle that I'd love to break -- eventually, I will succeed. Luckily, this week has been a lot of water week with 1 can of soda/day. :) Baby steps!

Rana!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, progress forward, baby steps!
Yup, I would want it all the time and then I was like, meh, who cares? You can break the cycle!
Ok girl, we are aligned because I just left Bill a message about Caffeine vs. Water and having a discussion around this. I am 3 years caffeine free and I wasn't trying to be, it just happened. I stopped drinking coffee in Jan 2020. You can do it and we're here.
What are your thoughts?

I say... Baby steps. I'm just proud when I get (2) 30 oz glasses of water down. ? I know that caffeine actually DEhydrates you but damn, when you takes a lot of supplements & meds etc in the am - sure tastes good in addition to vacuum effect that helps the meds go down.
❤️ you lady!

I say baby steps too! I used to drink caffeine too. Just increasing your water intake, your body will thank you. Take some time first thing in the morning and drink 8 oz. When you drink 8-10 oz every hour for 8-10 hours, which is more like a workday, then you'll consume 80-100 oz/day. It's doable when you focus and make the decision. So, if you take 30oz to chug down, then you miss the joy and process of enjoying what the water is doing for you and it becomes a daunting task. Breaking it down into hours, you can set an alarm if you need to or use a water app to remind you (I use the app personally). Baby steps and ways to increase them and become a water lover before you know it. When you start drinking water more, you feel and see the benefits you reap from that 1 inspired action!
On a side note, if you're taking meds, you can get dry mouth from some of them. Drink more water to combat that.

Love this idea. I tried several times & keep falling on my face. I have sooooo many priorities (health wise) that one more seems overwhelming, but... Soon I can do that. (I know what you're thinking... This will help all of my other health priorities lol)

Right! That's why we teach the basics of wellness because we're so focused on specific issues with our bodies. If we give our body the basics, how will it respond? Since I started doing that, my wellness has increased over the years the longer I apply these fundamentals. So, start with the basics and the others may resolve or lessen, like you said. You're on the right track! I use an app that reminds me, it's called water reminder. LMK if you are apple or android LOL
